All SUNY TAs and GAs (domestic or F1 visa holders) are eligible for GSEU
health insurance. Coverage is not, however, automatic. You must sign up
at a health care orientation. You may sign up for health care at a HC Orientation
or with the Benefits office.
It is essential that you visit a participating provider. You may
find out about dental coverage and participating providers here.
We encourages members in New Paltz to search using both Dutchess and Ulster Counties,
as providers in Dutchess Co. are often more convenient.
Similarly, Brockport Members may find providers in Rochester.

COBRA
You may continue coverage after employement-based eligibility ends through COBRA by
paying 102% of the cost of your health care for up to 18 months after your
employment ends.
